LifeShare is a national human service organization providing community-based supports to adults with developmental disabilities. We are an individual-centered, progressive provider agency. We believe that all supports are most effective when offered in a holistic and comprehensive manner within the community. We protect and promote civil rights for people of all abilities by influencing change in society and inspiring people to become who they want to be.

LifeShare is seeking families in Chatham and surrounding counties interested in opening their homes to one or two adults in need of independent living support. The individual would come to live in your home and would need his or her own bedroom. The individual would require assistance with daily living skills, such as taking medication, hygiene, cooking, budgeting and transportation. Most individuals work during the day or go to a day program. This is a yearly contract position; however, we are seeking those open to hosting an individual on a long-term basis.

Home Care Providers are paid a $30,000-$35,000 annual tax-free stipend. In addition, LifeShare provides Home Care Providers with free training and ongoing support. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life!
